La rentrée académique est une période très riche à l'Université: nouvelles recherches, nouveaux, projets, etc. C'est donc cette effervescence de nouveautés que nous souhaitons partager avec vous.

Nos étudiants de master remportent le premier prix à l'International Bamboo Construction Competition : Bravo à Audrey Mertens (master ingénieur civil architecte, ULiège), Fantine Fontaine (master ingénieur civil des constructions, ULiège) et Chen Qi (University of Oxford), ainsi qu'à leur superviseur académique le prof. Notre collègue, le prof. Pierre Paquet, spécialiste de la conservation et de la restauration du patrimoine culturel et immobilier et professeur au sein du département d'Architecture, Géologie, Environnement et Construction et de l'Unité de Recherche "Urban and Environmental Engineering " de l'Université de Liège, est nommé directeur des musées de la ville de Liège. Le nouveau programme 2019-2020 des conférences CERES est en ligne. Nous vous donnons d'ores et déjà rendez-vous à la première de la saison, qui aura lieu le lundi 14 octobre, sur la thématique "Le pont Vierendeel, l'introduction de la construction soudée en Belgique et la découverte de la rupture fragile".

L'Europe reconduit pour 4 ans le master ERASMUS MUNDUS EMSHIP+ (European Master Course in Advanced Design of Ships and Offshore Structures) porté par le prof. Ph. Rigo. Ce programme permettra d'allouer 22 bourses par an à des étudiants internationaux. En savoir plus.

Les étudiants en ingénieur civil architecte vous convient au vernissage de leur exposition "Un an de projets" ce lundi 16 septembre à 18h00. Inscriptions souhaitées avant le 10 septembre.

En guise de clôture à l'EIT Raw Materials University Day, organise une table ronde qui confronte les points de vue des scientifiques, des industriels et de la société civile. Our colleague, prof. Pierre Paquet, a specialist in the conservation and restoration of cultural and immovable heritage and a professor in the Department of Architecture, Geology, Environment and Construction and the "Urban and Environmental Engineering" Research Unit of the University of Liège, has been appointed Director of the museums of the City of Liège.
